## About SubmitMap

SubmitMap is a free, editorial directory of the places worth submitting a product to, plus a phased route of guides that puts them in a sensible order.

Every launch guide tells founders to submit to directories. Almost none of them say which directories accept your kind of product, what the form will actually ask for, or what happens after you press submit. SubmitMap exists to answer those three questions, one platform at a time.

Each platform in the directory is a typed record rather than a paragraph of marketing copy. It carries who the platform accepts and who it disqualifies, the exact submission steps in the order you will meet them, the assets and form fields the submission actually demands, the gotchas that will cost you an evening, a realistic approval window, and whether the outbound link is dofollow or nofollow. Where a free tier turns out to be conditional, the record says so plainly: a badge you have to host permanently, a review queue measured in weeks, a dofollow link that only arrives if you finish in the top three that week, a paywall that appears at step six of six.

The guides are organised into seven phases, running from getting launch-ready through to the paid channels that should only be opened last. The point of the phasing is order rather than volume. A maker who submits everywhere on day one burns the launches that only work once, and the route exists to stop that happening.

SubmitMap also speaks MCP. Connecting it to an AI assistant lets that assistant work out which platforms a product genuinely qualifies for, read the submission playbook for each one, and fill the forms in the maker's own browser. The eligibility rules a human reads as prose are stored alongside machine-readable criteria, so the human version and the agent version cannot quietly drift apart.

Reading the directory needs no account. There is no paid placement and no sponsored ranking, so no platform can buy its way up the list, and no entry was written from a press release. Every field was observed on the live site, including the submission flows themselves, which is the only reason the gotchas are specific enough to be worth reading.

The directory is free, the guides are free, and the underlying data is published openly for both people and machines, including a public API and agent-readable documents alongside the human pages.

It began as one maker's launch spreadsheet, re-researched from scratch on every new side project, and became a typed directory so that the research only had to happen once.
