Free Launch Readiness Checker
Paste your launch URL. Get a pass, warn, or fail checklist, and a short fix for each item that is not ready.
What this check is for
Before a weekly hunt, the launch page should tell a stranger and a crawler three things: what the product is, which URL is the preferred one, and whether search engines may index it. Each row above is one check. The score is how many checks passed.
This is a snapshot of the public HTML, not a full audit. Open Graph tags are checked for presence, and the image URL is checked for HTTP 200 and an image content type. For a closer look at link previews, use the free OG Image Checker on Sidehunt.
Questions
What does the Launch Readiness Checker test?
It fetches the public page at the URL you paste, then checks HTTPS and the final URL after redirects, HTTP status, title length, meta description length, a single H1, the viewport meta tag, a canonical link, Open Graph title, description, and image, a Twitter card, a reachable favicon, robots.txt, a sitemap, noindex, response time, and HTML size.
Is the checker free, and do I need an account?
Yes. It is free and does not ask you to sign up or sign in. MakerHunt does not keep a copy of the page it checks.
What is the difference between a pass, a warning, and a failure?
A pass means that item looks ready. A warning means it is present but outside the usual range, such as a title shorter than 30 characters or longer than 60. A failure means something important is missing or blocking visitors and crawlers. The score counts passes only.
Will this see tags that JavaScript adds after the page loads?
No. The checker reads the HTML the server returns. Tags inserted only by client-side JavaScript will not show up. Put launch-critical tags in the initial HTML.
Where can I check link previews in more detail?
This tool checks that og:title, og:description, and og:image are present, and that the image URL returns HTTP 200 with an image content type. For a closer look at previews, use the free OG Image Checker at https://sidehunt.io/tools/og-image-checker.
What should I do after the checklist looks good?
Fix the failures first, then submit the product on MakerHunt. You can launch on the Free, Nofollow, or Premium plan. The pricing page and the submit form are linked below.

When the failures are fixed, submit the product for a weekly hunt. Compare Free, Nofollow, and Premium on the pricing page, then pick a week on the submit form.
