Find Key & BPM is a free browser tool for estimating the musical key, Camelot code, and tempo of a local MP3 or WAV file. The audio is decoded, played, and analyzed on the device. It is not uploaded, and using the tool does not require an account.
The homepage is the working tool, not a download page. Drop one file, wait for the estimate, then listen, compare, and copy. Results are estimates. Uncertain key or tempo candidates are marked, and you can correct them before you copy. The original file is not changed.
Supported files are MP3 and WAV. One file at a time, up to 40 MB and 10 minutes. Longer files take more time. You can cancel while a file is being prepared. Clearing a result, replacing a file, or closing the page releases that audio from the page.
After an estimate, you can listen to the audio in the same page. If the tempo looks like half or double the intended groove, you can compare those candidates instead of guessing. Tap tempo is available when you want a manual count. There is also a dedicated tap-tempo page at https://findkeybpm.com/tap-tempo/ for counting without a file.
Camelot codes sit next to the key estimate so DJs and producers can copy a mixing-friendly value. Copying a result does not send a correction. Saving a correction stores a local history entry in this browser. Submitting feedback is a separate action and never includes the audio or filename.
This product is not an AI music-recognition service and does not claim perfect accuracy. It is a local analysis helper for people who need a first key and BPM reading, then want to check it by ear. It is not a DAW, not a stem splitter, and not a catalog of songs.
Who it is for: bedroom producers, DJs, and anyone who has an MP3 or WAV and wants a private estimate before they mix or tag the file. Who it is not for: people who need guaranteed ground-truth analysis, batch processing, or cloud libraries.
The public site is https://findkeybpm.com/. Privacy copy on the live site explains that audio stays on the device, that Google Analytics counts page views on production, and that advertising scripts are not loaded. This listing does not claim search rankings, user counts, or revenue.
The first version was built with Codex as a coding assistant. That describes how the site was written. It does not mean the detector is an AI or machine-learning audio model. Please keep the product in a music, audio, or general utilities category rather than an AI-only category.
